Last Updated: July 14, 2026

01

Overview

Relax Social respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects our users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), we will respond to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement.

02

Copyright infringement notification

If you believe that your copyrighted work has been copied and is accessible on our platform in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, please provide our designated agent with the following information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or authorized representative
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including its location on our platform
  • Your contact information (address, telephone number, and email address)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

04

Counter-notification process

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with the following information:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake
  • Your name, address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in your district

05

Repeat infringer policy

Relax Social has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers. We may also limit access to our services and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others.

06

Safe harbor compliance

We comply with the safe harbor provisions of the DMCA. We do not monitor user-generated content for copyright infringement, but we respond promptly to valid DMCA notices and remove infringing content when properly notified.

07

False claims

Under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material is infringing may be subject to liability for damages. Do not make false claims.

08

Processing time

We typically process DMCA notices within 24–48 hours of receipt. You will receive a confirmation email when we receive your notice, and another notification when action has been taken.

09

Alternative dispute resolution

Before filing a DMCA notice, we encourage copyright owners to contact the user directly to resolve the matter. Many disputes can be resolved through direct communication without formal legal proceedings.

10

Educational resources

We provide educational resources to help users understand copyright law and fair use:

  • Copyright basics and fair use guidelines
  • How to properly license music and content
  • Best practices for content creators
  • Understanding public domain and Creative Commons
